As part of their hunt for a thief who swiped a woman’s handbag from a Bishop’s Stortford pub, police have released CCTV pictures of three women they want to talk to.

The 28-year-old victim’s bag was taken while she was in The Star in Bridge Street at around 11pm on Sunday, November 25. It had been left on a chair.

Her contactless bank card was subsequently used by the thief or thieves in a Co-op in Harlow.

Investigating police officers want to speak to the three women in the pictures as they might have information that could assist the inquiry.

Anyone who can identify any of the women should call Hertfordshire Constabulary on 101 and quote the crime reference 41/59562/18.

Alternatively, you can report information online at www.herts.police.uk/report, or anonymously by calling independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 or via its online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
