Police appeal issued three months after assault in Northgate End car park in Bishop's Stortford

The victim of an assault in Bishop’s Stortford has finally allowed police to issue an appeal for witnesses – more than three months after the event.

The incident happened in the Northgate End car park on Friday, October 4 at around 11pm.

The 22-year-old victim was in the passenger seat of a car when his attacker approached, opened the door and punched and kicked him in the head.

The assailant the victim as he ran to call police in what Hertfordshire Constabulary has described as an “isolated incident”.

PC Louise Gibson said: “We've carried out numerous enquiries since the incident occurred and have now exhausted all lines.

“The victim has been left shaken by his ordeal and has been reluctant to release a public appeal until now. I fully appreciate the incident happened a while ago, but this is our last attempt to trace the person responsible.

“If you were in the area at the time and saw what happened, or have any information about who the suspect may be, please get in touch.”
