A drainage investigation has been ordered after a road flooded during last week's heavy rainfall.

Hertfordshire county councillor and town and district councils member Eric Buckmaster revealed the investigation would be held into the flood in Station Road, Sawbridgeworth, which was highlighted by a resident.

The resident was concerned the big puddle would force pedestrians into the road.

Cllr Buckmaster said Hertfordshire Highways contractor Ringway would use CCTV to look for the source of the problem after water firm Affinity had checked for leaks.
