By Paul Winspear

A car crash has resulted in the main road between Bishop's Stortford and Harlow being blocked.

A collision involving two vehicles on the A1184 Cambridge Road between Spellbrook and Sawbridgeworth, near the junction with Parsonage Lane, was reported to Hertfordshire Constabulary's control room by a police unit at 1.07pm on Saturday (April 27).

The cars are a black Nissan Qashqai and a black Audi A3. One of them overturned as a result of the collision and the road is currently blocked.

A Hertfordshire Constabulary spokesman said at 2.20pm: "Both vehicles will need recovery and we are still at the scene. There are currently no reports of any injuries."

Bishop's Stortford police are warning that the A1184 will be shut for the foreseeable future while the vehicles involved are recovered and advise motorists to find alternative routes.

Motorists heading south from Bishop's Stortford en route to Harlow and Sawbridgeworth are turning around.
