Fallen horse chestnut branch blocks main road through Little Hallingbury

Police have closed the main road through Little Hallingbury after a large branch was snapped off a tree in gusty winds on Tuesday afternoon (May 4).

The A1060 Latchmore Bank is cordoned off between its junctions with Church Road, which leads to Great Hallingbury, and Dell Lane, leading to Spellbrook.

There are no reports of any damage to property or vehicles, or of any injuries.

A Latchmore Bank resident told the Indie that police were on the scene at 5.15pm.

"It's actually a large branch of a horse chestnut tree rather than the whole tree," she said.
