Robbers make off with four-figure sum from Stansted used car dealership Kiteley Motors

Three men escaped with several thousand pounds in a robbery at a used car dealership in Stansted.

Police were called after the men entered the premises of Kiteley Motors in Cambridge Road, near the Chapel Hill and Bentfield Road crossroads.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "It was reported that three men attended the showroom and were refusing to leave, and became threatening and abusive towards staff unless they received a payment.

"As a result, the men left with a four-figure sum of money."

The incident happened at about 1.20pm on Wednesday February 17.

The business has declined to comment at this stage.
