Pop-up circus at Little Hallingbury Primary School's Community Fun Day
Little Hallingbury Primary School pupils dressed in bright colours in anticipation of a visit from the Pop-Up Circus company.
All the fun of the big top will be part of the school's Community Fun Day on Sunday (July 7), with performances at 1pm and 3pm. The fun day itself starts at noon and finishes at 4.30pm.
All-round family entertainment is promised from a company of professional circus performers who will present a show featuring juggling, magic, hula-hoops, plate spinning, clowning and more.
Head Sonia Strickland said "I'm delighted that the circus is coming to Little Hallingbury School. We're all very excited and would love to see lots of people come and join in the fun."
It promises to be a day full of joy and laughter as the school joins with the village community to share the fun and raise funds for new playground equipment.
Chair of the parent-teacher association Robyn Bond explained that this year they wanted to ramp up the fayre to include the wider community, as well as have a greater range of activities that families can participate in and enjoy together.
The fayre features go karts, inflatable horse riding, games, face painting, craft stalls and a tombola. There will be a bar, a barbecue, vintage tea room and ice cream.
Admission to the fayre is free. Tickets for the circus shows cost £8 per adult, £5 per child or £23 for a family of two adults and two kids. They will be available on the door or book online at http://LHS_PopupCircus.eventbrite.co.uk.
The school is in Wrights Green Lane, Little Hallingbury CM22 7RE.
