Ryanair representative visits Birchwood High School to offer students career advice
A Ryanair representative visited Birchwood High School in Bishop’s Stortford to offer students career advice.
Lola Hall is a former cabin crew headhunter who now works for the low-cost airline’s aircraft engineering services as a recruitment specialist.
As part of National Apprenticeship Week, she talked to a group of Year 11 and Year 13 students at the Parsonage Lane secondary who had expressed an interest in aviation engineering.
A Birchwood spokeswoman said: “It’s not all pilots and cabin crew. With Stansted on our doorstep, many of our students will decide to work in the aviation sector. So we were delighted to invite Ryanair into school to speak about the career opportunities the airline can offer.
“The students learnt about the Ryanair apprenticeship programme, created for individuals to obtain the qualifications that they require to become a licensed engineer.
“As Ryanair is expanding its operation at Stansted, there are likely to be plenty more opportunities with this local employer in the years to come.”
