Wesley Strahan Hughes, head of operations for the Hertfordshire Care Providers Association (HCPA), said: "There has never been a more challenging year for our care sector in history, and we are proud to relaunch our awards this year after having to pause last year and present a celebration and thanksgiving virtual event in place of our usual recognition ceremony.

"We're looking for nominations of small or large teams of people who work in the adult social care sector, or whole organisations, recognising their outstanding achievements during the pandemic and how they've made a difference to people's lives. If you're proud of a care provider, please nominate them so we can say thank you."

The eight categories are:

1. Most Innovative Team Collaboration

Recognises innovative approaches to collaborative partnerships during the pandemic, which brought together teams from different sectors or parts of a sector to deliver services.

2. Outstanding Leadership Award

For the team that has demonstrated strong leadership over the last year, through shared values and vision.

3. Most Innovative Support at Home Team

For a whole domiciliary care team who have made an outstanding achievement in the last year in relation to innovation and development during the pandemic.

4. Most Innovative Residential Care Team

5. The Innovation Award for Adult Disability Services

Any type or size of team can be nominated.

7. Nursing Team of the Year

This award is for a small or large team working in a nursing setting, who have made an outstanding achievement in the last year during the pandemic.

8. The Outstanding Achievement Award
