A serial burglar who went on a crime spree over the course of one week, including a house in Stansted, has been jailed for six years.

Cieran Brytz, 32, broke in to properties in Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk on three separate days last summer. He burgled three homes, stealing four vehicles including a Mercedes and a BMW, and tried to burgle four other addresses.

Brytz, of Bowhill Way, Harlow, was jailed on March 31 for six years for the three burglaries, two years for the four attempted burglaries and 15 months for four counts of theft of a vehicle. The sentences will run concurrently.

He had previously admitted the 11 charges at Chelmsford Crown Court on October 12 last year.

Brytz was involved in a burglary in Finchmoor, Harlow, on August 13 last year in which a Vauxhall Vivaro and Peugeot 207 were stolen.

He tried to break into two other homes in Finchmoor the same night and one in Stoney Common Road, Stansted, the next day.

Brytz had targeted three homes in Norfolk and Suffolk on August 7. He broke into a house in St Olaves, Norfolk, and tried to burgle another in the same village. He was also involved in a burglary in Beccles, Suffolk, in which a Mercedes AMG and BMW XR were stolen.
