Person hit by train between Audley End and Cambridge North stations

LEARN MOREGreater Anglia services between Bishop's Stortford and Cambridge are disrupted this afternoon (Thursday, July 22) after a person was hit by a train between Audley End, near Saffron Walden, and the university city.
The train operator is warning of cancellations and delays of up to 60 minutes until at least 5pm as some lines are blocked. Stansted Express services to the airport are also affected.
The Greater Anglia website says: "We are currently resourcing rail replacement vehicles to operate between Cambridge North and Bishop's Stortford. An estimated time of arrival will be given as soon as this information is available.
"Great Northern will pass Greater Anglia ticket holders between Cambridge North to Kings Cross. London Underground will pass Greater Anglia ticket holders between Liverpool Street and Kings Cross."
On Tuesday afternoon (July 20), northbound services from Bishop's Stortford were suspended after storm damage to the network.
