Tinned food, chocolate, cognac and honey stolen from Tesco Express, Sainsbury's and Aldi in Bishop's Stortford

A shoplifter stole £200 worth of tinned tuna, corned beef and chocolate from Tesco Express in Bishop’s Stortford town centre.

The crook targeted the South Street store last Wednesday (Jan 13) at around 9.15pm and stuffed the groceries in two shopping bags. A staff member went to investigate and spooked the thief, who fled.

Another shoplifter was chased from a town centre supermarket after taking three bottles of cognac, worth £111, last Tuesday afternoon (Jan 12).
