St Clare Hospice is holding its annual 10k road race in April.

Starting and finishing at the Hastingwood hospice, by junction 7 of the M11, the event on Sunday the 8th is suitable for all abilities, whether a novice or a club runner looking for a personal best. The course is also suitable for wheelchair athletes.

The race is UK Athletics affiliated and chip-timed. There are trophies for the fastest male, female, senior, junior and wheelchair athletes. Medals will be awarded to all runners.

There will be cafe refreshments and a tombola after the race, which last year raised £8,000 for the hospice.

Advanced registration costs £12, and £15 on the day (£10 and £13 respectively for affiliated runners). The deadline for advanced sign-ups is Monday, April 2. The registration desk will be open at 9.30am on the day, with the race starting at 10.30am.

The event is open to people aged 15 and above.
