Bishop's Stortford's singing postie Hollie Bedford delivers a first-class debut solo show in Takeley
Bishop’s Stortford’s singing postie put her stamp on well-known hits at her first ever solo concert – at which loyal fans organised a collection for her to buy a PA system.
Hollie Bedford first demonstrated she was an act to write home about when she started singing during her postal rounds in the midst of the Covid-19 lockdown. She was credited for bringing cheer to cooped-up residents who left her thank-you messages, along with rave reviews on social media.
Because of the pandemic, Hollie, of Great Hallingbury, has been unable to sing with her Pink Floyd tribute band, Re:Floyd, regulars at The Horn at the Half Moon pub venue in North Street.
When the opportunity came for Hollie to make her debut as a solo performer at Takeley Park on Sunday September 13, the 28-year-old delivered a two-hour set of Adele, Queen, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay and Heather Small covers, along with many more classics.
Her delighted fans raised £145 during the open-air concert to help her put on future shows for more to enjoy.
