LEARN MORESkaters, BMX bikers and scooter riders will be showcasing their talents at the fifth annual Stansted Skate Park Jam next month.
Between 80-100 participants from the village and across the country are expected to descend on the Lower Street venue to perform.
Organiser Sean Thompson, himself a BMX rider, said it was not an event where people competed against each other, more that they were rewarded for demonstrating new skills.
"I know what most of the kids can do and if they do anything that pushes themselves, it is rewarded with prizes - everyone goes home with something and has fun," said Sean.
The event is divided into four categories - scooters, in-line skaters, skateboarders and BMX bikes.
Sean said Stansted had a thriving skate park community ranging in age from 5-6 year olds up to riders in their 30s. "They all get along as if they were the same age and enjoy sharing their passion."
The event, sponsored by Yeoman's Cafe and Mix wine bar, runs from 11am-4pm on Sunday 1 September.
