Spurs legends Ossie Ardiles, Gary Mabbutt and Ledley King deliver festive cheer to Princess Alexandra Hospital staff

Former Spurs stars Ossie Ardiles, Gary Mabbutt and Ledley King visited Princess Alexandra Hospital to thank staff for all their work this year and delivered gifts from Tottenham Hotspur Football Club (THFC).

The presents – toiletry sets from Molton Brown, chocolate treats from Cadbury, cans of Drip water and EXALT juices – will be distributed to workers on duty over the festive season.

Thom Lafferty, chief executive of the Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust, which also includes Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop’s Stortford and St Margaret’s Hospital in Epping, said: “Many of our staff take time away from their own families to care for people staying in hospital over the festive season and I would like to say a very big thank you to THFC for the generous gifts to share with those that will be here working.”

Gary Mabbutt said: “It was important for us as a club to recognise the incredible work that heroic staff across our local hospitals are doing – not only during the Christmas period but throughout the year.

“This was the club’s way of saying a huge thank you to them and providing some respite from their extremely busy schedules.”
