St Clare Hospice appeals for volunteers to staff new Thorley Neighbourhood Centre charity shop

St Clare Hospice is calling on community-spirited volunteers to join the staff at the charity’s new Thorley Park shop.

The outlet at the Thorley Neighbourhood Centre is set to open later this summer.

Tracy Pearse, manager of the new shop, said: “Volunteering with St Clare is more than just giving your time – it’s becoming part of something truly meaningful in the heart of your community.

“Every hour volunteered helps us fund care for someone in their final chapter of life.

“It’s a rewarding, social experience and you’ll be making a real difference to local people. We can’t wait to build a fantastic volunteer team here in Thorley – now we just need you!”

By giving just a few hours a week, volunteers will directly support St Clare’s mission to deliver free, compassionate care and support to over 1,800 people across West Essex and the East Herts border every year.
