Bank holiday flower and music festival at Thorley's St James the Great Church

St James the Great Church at Thorley will hold its annual festival of flowers and music this bank holiday weekend (August 28-30).

The theme for the celebration is 'A Huge Thank You', marking the contributions of individuals, charities and organisations that supported the community during the coronavirus pandemic.

Floral displays will decorate the church and there will be music. Crafts and produce will be on sale at stalls in the St Barnabas Centre next door, along with home-made lunches, cakes and refreshments. Craft ales, wine and Pimms will be served in a beer tent in the garden.

Proceeds will support upkeep of the church congregation's five community buildings, with 10% going to support vaccines in developing countries.

The festival will run from 11.30am to 4pm daily on Saturday, Sunday and bank holiday Monday.
