Staff at the Busy Bees nursery in St Michael's Mead in Bishop's Stortford are buzzing after impressing Ofsted inspectors.

The business was scrutinised last month and has been given a 'good' rating, up from 'requires improvement' after an inspection last year.

Ofsted's latest report says: "Since the last inspection, the newly appointed manager has made considerable changes and improvements."

Manager Heidi Marshall said: "I am incredibly proud of the team at Bishop's Stortford St Michael's Mead. They've worked with a great deal of enthusiasm, commitment and determination to meet the recommendations that Ofsted set in July 2018. We achieved a great deal in a short period of time."

In particular, the watchdog praised the nursery's relationship with families, noting: "Partnerships with parents and other settings that children attend are strong. Key persons work well with parents to involve them in their children's learning."

The team were also praised for being "knowledgeable and effective," with Ofsted going on to say: "Staff use their knowledge of each child to accurately assess their progress and plan effectively for their future learning."
