Stansted Airport employment event is just the job as more than 1,000 flock to Radisson Blu

More than 1,000 people attended Stansted Airport’s latest jobs fair, vying for more than 500 roles on offer at the hub ahead of the busy winter season.

The event at the Radisson Blu hotel on Tuesday (October 10) featured recruitment opportunities for flight crew, baggage handlers and security, retail and hospitality jobseekers.

Nathan Mullane, the airport’s employment and skills manager, said: "With the airport continuing to grow, with new destinations and increased capacity on popular routes this winter, we are looking for ambitious new staff from across the East of England and London with a passion for exceptional customer service to join us at London Stansted."

Stansted is making the fastest recovery of any major UK airport following the Covid pandemic. August was its second busiest month on record, with more than 2.91 million passengers passing through the terminal – an average of almost 94,000 a day. And the 100,561 passengers on Friday August 18 represented its busiest day in 2023 and the fourth busiest ever at the airport.

Those securing jobs with Stansted owner MAG (Manchester Airports Group) can take advantage of benefits including discounts of up to 80% on public transport when travelling to work, free on-site car parking, a pension scheme, training programmes and retail discounts.
