Stansted Airport ramps up European network with new destinations in France, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Croatia, Greece and Turkey

Stansted Airport is expanding its European network in 2025 with new routes to destinations in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Croatia, Greece and Turkey.

British Airways is launching a new service to Bergerac, in south-west France, in June. Last year the flag carrier returned to Stansted with flights to Nice, Ibiza and Florence.

Debuting at the airport, Transavia will begin a route to Rotterdam, in the Netherlands, in April.

Turkish carrier SunExpress will introduce a route to Kayseri, in Turkey’s Cappadocia region, in July. This new service further strengthens Stansted’s position as the UK’s top airport for flights to Turkey.

In May, Stansted’s second largest carrier, Jet2, will launch flights to Pula in Croatia and Bergen in Norway. The airline will also offer holiday packages to the Greek islands of Poros, Aegina and Leros, via Athens.

Ryanair, the airport’s biggest airline with more than 150 destinations, is resuming flights to Lübeck in Germany, starting in summer.

It will also launch new routes to Münster in Germany from April and Clermont-Ferrand in France in March. The return of Clermont marks the revival of this destination at Stansted, last served in 2019.

Aviation director Simon Gorrighan said: “We’re really excited about these new routes – yhey’re all about giving our passengers even more choice for their travels.

“Whether it’s unwinding in the vineyards of Bergerac, soaking up the buzz of Rotterdam’s cultural scene or exploring the stunning landscapes of Cappadocia, there’s truly something for everyone.

“London Stansted serves more European destinations than any other UK airport and these new services will further strengthen our route network, which now covers almost 200 destinations across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.”
