Steering wheels stolen from BMW and Mercedes in Bishop’s Stortford
Police are appealing for witnesses and information after thieves broke into two cars in Bishop’s Stortford and stole the steering wheels.
A black BMW in Walnut Drive on Thorley Park also had its radio pulled out and a sat nav and speedometer dials stolen (crime reference 41/89896/25).
Cash as well as the steering wheel was stolen from a silver Mercedes in Ellis Drive on the St James’ Park estate (crime ref 41/90029/25).
Meanwhile, the headlights were taken from a Land Rover Discovery in Berkeley Close, Ware (crime ref 41/89921/25).
All three incidents happened between 3pm on Sunday and 8.45am on Monday last weekend (Sept 21-22).
PC Alexander Swales, who is investigating, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing, and I am urging anyone with information to please come forward.”
