Step up for St Clare by hotfooting it to hospice’s fundraising firewalk on Thursday October 16
St Clare Hospice is hoping thrill-seekers will hotfoot it to its headquarters to take on its most fiery fundraiser of the year.
People of all ages can experience walking barefoot across 600 degree Fahrenheit embers while raising vital funds for the charity in the St Clare Firewalk.
The adrenaline-fuelled night of fun will take place at the hospice in Hastingwood, near Harlow, on Thursday October 16, 6.30pm to 9pm.
For a registration fee of £25, firewalkers will be guided by an expert trainer from Time4Change, learning techniques to overcome their fears. Everyone will receive a certificate to commemorate their achievement.
The event is open to everyone – as a unique challenge with friends or family, a meaningful way to support a loved one or a team-building activity.
Rosie Brewer, the hospice’s events relationship fundraiser, said: “The St Clare Firewalk is going to be an unforgettable experience. It’s a chance for friends, families and colleagues to come together, challenge themselves and support hospice care in a truly unique way.
“It’s not just about walking across fire – it’s about igniting courage and celebrating community, all while raising money for a good cause.”
Firewalkers under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult and will need a signed consent form from a guardian.
