Bishop's Stortford charity Herts Hogline looking for homes for hedgehog trio Orwell, June and Hazel

Three hedgehogs are looking for adoptive homes after they were rescued by a Bishop's Stortford-based charity.

Herts Hogline founder Lynne Garner has been caring for Orwell – a young male with a broken and infected back leg which had to be amputated – and June and Hazel, two elderly females who have suffered brain injuries and partial sight loss for the past few weeks.

Rarely does Lynne have this many at once, so she is looking for permanent 'gardens' for the prickly patieets to enjoy the rest of their days.

She said: "Every so often June and Hazel come out in the day. Their body clocks are all over the place because their eyesight isn't 100%, but apart from that they seem happy and healthy. Orwell is young and despite three legs is fine."

"I have helpers who look after other hedgehogs, but I need to find three homes where people will take on full responsibility for these hedgehogs and have the time to care for them as these three won't go back into the wild. I will give full support."
