Staff took pre-school children to Empire in the Anchor Street leisure centre to see Peter Rabbit, the most recent remake of Beatrix Potter’s classic tale of the flopsy bunnies, last Thursday.

A spokeswoman said: “The children were very excited about their trip to the cinema, talking about their personal experiences of going to the cinema with family members and for many of their children this was their first experience of going to the cinema with their friends.

“The children enjoyed singing the song, Little Peter Rabbit had a fly upon his nose, too.”
