Premier Travel in Bishop’s Stortford has launched its annual Easter egg appeal for children in care.

Staff at the South Street travel agent are collecting chocolate donations in the run-up to Easter for disadvantaged children in the town.

People are asked to drop in Easter eggs or other chocolate gifts at the shop by April 13. A representative of social services will collect the donations and deliver them to youngsters in time for Easter on April 21.

Branch manager Judith Bates said: “We're appealing to customers and members of the community to bring in any Easter eggs to donate to this worthy cause and help less fortunate children. All donations, no matter how big or small, are welcome.”

The Stortford branch is one of 21 shops in the South East in the Premier Travel chain, which was founded in 1936.
