Stansted Surgery stocks up on flu jab vaccines for winter

Forward planning has ensured Stansted Surgery has a large stock of flu vaccines for the coming winter.

Practice manager Teresa Buglass said: "We have plenty of flu jabs, don't panic! We increased our order in May because we expected a high take-up for the over-65s and under."

Its final clinic, by invitation only, is on Saturday (October 17) from 8am to 4pm.

Mrs Buglass said that the Covid-19 pandemic meant it was important for at risk groups – including under-65s, where take-up had not been that high – to get vaccinated.

"This year it's probably more important than ever because if you're at risk and get flu and then Covid, the outcome is potentially not great."
