Take a scenic circular stroll around Welwyn Garden City and support Isabel Hospice

A sponsored circular walk is being held in Welwyn Garden City to raise money for Isabel Hospice.

The scenic stroll takes place on Sunday May 11 and starts at 10am.

Friends of Isabel Fundraising Committee member Emma Wood said: “This is our third year running the circular walk in aid of Isabel Hospice. It’s a scenic route around the town that takes in Brocket Hall, the Digswell Viaduct, Panshanger Airfield, Tewinbury Nature Reserve and Sherrardspark Wood.

“There are two routes available – the full 12.5 miles or the 4-mile route – making it perfect for families, friends and even dogs!”

The walk, predominantly on public footpaths, is suitable for sturdy prams and pushchairs. It will be fully signposted and marshalled.

At the finish line in Digswell Playing Fields, there will be a barbecue and other refreshments. Emma said: “It was wonderful to see families enjoying tea and cake together last year, and we look forward to seeing the same this year.”

Tickets are £10 each (free to under-10s). Walkers are encouraged to try to raise £50 in sponsorship for the hospice. See isabelhospice.org.uk/events/sponsoredcircularwalk/.
