The sky’s the limit for fundraisers from Home Instead East Herts and Uttlesford

A daredevil team from Home Instead East Herts and Uttlesford took part in a skydive to raise money for the elderly.

Eight workers – Sarah, Dawn, Nikki, Tony, Lucy, Leo, Cliff and Chin – jumped from 15,000ft at Chatteris Airfield in Cambridgeshire.

They generated £4,000, exceeding their target by £1,000. The proceeds will directly support local dementia cafés, day trips and interactive activities for older adults to enjoy together.

David Bassett, owner of Sawbridgeworth-based Home Instead East Herts and Uttlesford, said: “We are overjoyed by the generosity of our supporters and thrilled to have exceeded our fundraising goal.

“Thank you to all those who have donated. The impact of these funds is profound, providing essential resources that enrich the lives of older adults in our community.

“While ageing can be a joyful time, many older adults experience profound loneliness. We must address this, and we’re proud to support Home Instead Charities in making a difference.”
