ThornFest: Thorn Grove Primary School’s May ‘festival’ will raise funds for new library
Get ready to rock at Thorn Grove Primary School’s May festival-themed fundraiser in Bishop’s Stortford.
ThornFest 2025 on Saturday May 17, from noon until 3pm, will feature live performances from Harlow School of Rock and Dan Titus, and a dance by all the primary’s pupils.
Visitors can also enjoy bouncy castles, traditional games, a children’s entertainer, face painting, craft stalls and a fairground ride. Raffle prizes include a Nintendo Switch and £100 cash.
There will be a barbecue, licensed bar, ice cream van and confectionery stalls.
Jo Fouracre, one of the PTA organisers, said: “This is one of the most important events in our calendar to raise much-needed funds. Events like this help to raise thousands of pounds to spend on equipment and resources to enhance the children’s education and the school’s facilities.
“The proceeds from the fair, along with previous events and generous donations, will help fund our newest project: a brand new library for the school.
“The aim is to create a modern, welcoming space that will inspire a lifelong love of reading and learning for the children.”
Jo said: “Whether you have children at the school or are part of the local community, we hope you can come and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon.”
Entry costs £3 for adults and is free to children. ThornFest is a cash-only event.
