Churches Together hold Truth and Treasure Easter trail in Stortford town centre

The town's churches are all set to tell the Easter Story in a new way with a Truth and Treasure trail coming to the town centre.

The Churches Together group has been unable to hold its annual Walk of Witness on Good Friday for the past two years so has embraced new technology with a special Easter event.

Families are asked to look out for the Truth and Treasure Easter trail posters around the town with QR codes centred around shops that are open in South Street.

To take part you need to click on the QR code, and it will take you to a one to two minute video so you can listen to the story of Easter, told in a very different way. There are six to find in all, and once families have completed the trail, you can pick up your treasure from a stall in the Market Square between 10am and 4pm from Thursday (April 1) to Sunday. April 4.

Flyers and posters are available from The Indie's office in North Street, Nostimo, Humphrey's butchers, Market Square, Bishop's Stortford Methodist Church, South Street Pantry, Coffee House, Caffé Nero, Mr Simms, and Nando’s, all South Street.

Organisers of the trail urged families taking part to abide by social distancing rules - but most of all have fun!
