Two people suffer life-changing injuries in head-on crash in Hatfield Broad Oak

A head-on crash at Hatfield Broad Oak has left two people with serious life-changing injuries.

The collision on the B183 on Friday (Jan 29) at 4.30pm involved a black Audi R8 and a white Ford C-Max.

The Audi was travelling from Broad Oak in the direction of the Four Ashes in Takeley and is believed to have been trying to overtake a Volvo at the time.

The single occupants of both the Audi and C-Max were seriously injured and taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

An investigation is under way by Essex Police, who would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash, saw the Audi in the moments leading up to the crash or has dashcam footage.
