Two people taken to hospital following four-vehicle collision on B1383 in Quendon




Police and paramedics were called to a four-vehicle collision on the B1383 at Quendon on Tuesday afternoon (April 2).

Two people were taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. The road has reopened following a two-and-a-half-hour closure.

Essex Police were called to the collision, near the junction with Ventnor Road on the approach to the village from Ugley, at 2.20pm.

A spokeswoman for the force said: “The road was closed while emergency services helped those involved. It was fully reopened just before 5pm.”

A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called just after 2.30pm to a road traffic collision involving four vehicles on the B1383 in Quendon.

“An ambulance and ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene. Two patients were transported to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for treatment.”
