Staff member at Bishop’s Stortford restaurant Prezzo has phone stolen in distraction theft

A staff member’s mobile phone was stolen from behind a counter at a restaurant in Bishop’s Stortford.

Hertfordshire police are treating the daytime incident as a distraction theft.

It happened at Prezzo, the Italian eatery on the corner of North Street and High Street, on Tuesday September 10 between 3.15pm and 3.30pm.

Two people are thought to have distracted the victim.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage.
