Two women hurt in two-car collision near Hockerill in Bishop's Stortford

Two women were injured when their cars were involved in a collision near the Hockerill crossroads in Bishop's Stortford on Tuesday evening (July 23).

Police were called to the incident in Stansted Road just after 7.20pm. It involved a Ford Fiesta and a Smart car.

Both female drivers suffered slight injuries.

The East of England Ambulance Service was called. One ambulance attended and paramedics treated one of the women at the scene before taking her to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow for further assessment and care.

A spokeswoman for Hertfordshire Constabulary said that the scene was cleared just after 9.15pm.
