Sawbridgeworth mum Natalie Stokes' magical find of blackbird nest in garden

Mum Natalie Stokes did not realise as she did the gardening at her home in Sawbridgeworth another mother was preparing to bring her family into the world.

Natalie, 33, of Bullfields, was pruning a tree when she made a shock discovery.

"I pulled one of the dead leaves and saw a nest with the eggs inside," she said.

After the find, Natalie watched from a window with six-year-old son Archie and saw a blackbird return to the nest.

Another check on it revealed a clutch of four pale blue eggs. As time went on she watched in awe with Archie as three of them hatched and she filmed video of the magic scene.

"Every day Archie asks to have a look and I hold my phone up to the tree and let him see," said Natalie, who works as a receptionist at Lawrence and Company accountants in Sawbridgeworth.

The video clips have been wowing her friends on Facebook and the Indie has compiled them into a minute-long film here.
