Volunteer TUBS litter-pickers brave freezing temperatures to spruce up Bishop’s Stortford

Volunteer litter-pickers braved freezing temperatures to spruce up a part of Bishop’s Stortford.

The team from TUBS (Tidy Up Bishop’s Stortford) met for the 83rd time on Saturday (January 11) and around 20 people cleared rubbish from Apton Road.

Co-ordinator Ian Hudson said: “Thanks to St Michael’s Church of England Primary School that allowed us to use their car park.

“We also collected three bags of rubbish from the alley from Snowley Parade to Stansted Road.”

The next session takes place on March 8. For more information, see www.tubs12.info.

Meanwhile, supporters can help raise funds for TUBS by playing the East Herts lottery online at https://www.easthertslottery.co.uk/support/tubs.
