The coronavirus threat has led to the cancellation of a women's fashion, fizz and waffles event in Stansted.

Aimed at encouraging women to “love themselves” and enjoy a few guilt-free hours of quality food, chat and style inspiration, the 'Love Yourself, Love Waffles' evening planned for March 26 at Lower Street's Bear & Eden cafe has been put on hold.

Tori May, who along with fellow entrepreneurial mum Ana Hayter established Waffles & Co., said: "It is with regret that Ana and I have made the difficult decision to cancel/postpone the 'Love' event. Obviously, with the current situation surrounding coronavirus, we need to take precaution."

The two woman, who swapped London life for rural Uttlesford, set up on their own after a chance meeting at a new mums’ group, and have been working ever since to share their food and lifestyle loves with others.

“We love making our waffles with lots of local produce and love supporting local businesses. We wanted to try a new area and haven’t done anything in Stansted before so we’re really keen to branch out and share the love in Stansted.”
