Where to recycle your Christmas tree in Uttlesford: 23 towns and villages where you can dump your spruce or fir over the weekend of January 11-12




Uttlesford District Council is providing skips and refuse vehicles around the district over the weekend of January 11-12 so residents can recycle their Christmas trees.

The firs and spruces can be turned into compost, conditioner or chippings along with other green garden waste.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 11

Great Dunmow – Angel Lane car park, 9am-3pm

Birchanger – Birchwood, 8.30-9.30am

Great Easton – village hall, 9-10am

Stansted – Lower Street car park, 9.45-10.45am

Stebbing – The Downs, 10.15-11.15am

Manuden – Carters Hill, 11am-noon

Felsted – Bannister Green, 11.30am-12.30pm

Clavering – village hall, 12.45-1.45pm

Barnston – village hall, 1.15-2.15pm

Chrishall – The Red Cow, 2.15-3.45pm

High Easter – village hall, 2.30-3.30pm.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 12

Newport – allotments, 8.30-9.30am

Little Hallingbury – village car park, 9-10am

Littlebury – recreation ground, 9.45-10.45am

Hatfield Heath – Broomfields, 10.15-11.15am

Great Chesterford – Meadow Road, 11am-noon

Hatfield Broad Oak – Barnfields, 11.30am-12.30pm

Hadstock – village green, 12.45-1.45pm

White Roding – sports & social club car park, 1.15-2.15pm

Ashdon – Fallowden Lane car park, 2-3pm

Leaden Roding – school car park, 2.30-3.30pm

Thaxted – Margaret Street car park, 3.15-4.15pm

High Roding – Broadfields, 3.35- 4.45pm.
