Woman trapped after three-car collision on A120 near Bishop’s Stortford




Three cars were involved in a collision which resulted in the A120 being shut between Bishop’s Stortford and Standon.

Police, paramedics and a fire and rescue crew were sent to the scene at Horse Cross, the Braughing turn-off, at 2.30pm on Friday (Sept 27).

The incident involved two Hondas and a Mitsubishi. A woman in one of the Hondas was trapped and had to be freed by the fire and rescue crew.

A spokesman for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: “The woman was recovered but didn’t require any further medical attention.”

The East of England Ambulance Service sent two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle. A spokesman said: “One woman was assessed at the scene, but no hospital transport was required.”

The road was reopened around 3.30pm.
