Work to begin on transformation of Bishop's Stortford's station Goods Yard
Work will begin on Monday, October 8 to transform Bishop's Stortford's former Goods Yard site.
The £200m development by Solum will deliver 500 new homes, a new station square and transport enhancements.
Contractors will kick off the project by clearing the former car park site.
The first phase of the development will see 149 new homes built, as well as offices, retail space and a hotel. A 401-space multi-storey car park will be delivered as part of the first phase and is expected to open next summer.
The scheme will also provide additional station car parking, cycle and pedestrian links, a bus route and a new two-way road.
Solum will be hosting a stall at Bishop’s Stortford farmers’ market on Saturday, October 6 so residents can find out more about the scheme.
