Yob in black Ford Fiesta ‘fires urine from water pistol’ at family in Bishop’s Stortford town centre

Police are investigating after reports a yob in a passing car fired urine from a water pistol at a family waiting to cross the road in Bishop’s Stortford town centre.

The group of adults and children were in South Street on Sunday when a male fired at them from the window of a black Ford Fiesta, between 5.50pm and 6.10pm, hitting at least one of them in the face.

One victim of the attack posted on Facebook that his autistic son had been “freaked out and upset beyond belief” by the incident.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire police said the male who fired the pistol is described as white and there were at least two other people in the car.

A woman posted on the Bishop’s Stortford Community Facebook group that her son had been sprayed in the face in London Road, Bishop’s Stortford, around 6pm on Sunday by someone in a black car in a traffic queue and a runner said the same thing had happened to her.

There was also a post on the Sawbridgeworth Facebook Group of a water pistol attack on a woman from a black Ford Fiesta in Station Road, Sawbridgeworth, on Sunday.

The police spokesperson said enquiries were continuing and anyone with information should call them on 101.
