Bishop's Stortford Swimming Club youngsters excelled as they preserved their Division One status in the Hertfordshire Peanuts League.
The team of 21 nine to 12-year-olds competed against the county's elite in three separate galas at Potters Bar and came sixth out of 12.
Each gala has 39 events that are a mix of individual age-group races and relays before ending with a squadron freestyle relay consisting of eight swimmers with a boy and girl from each age group.
Stortford finished fourth, third and sixth in the three rounds to stay in the league for another year. It was a great achievement for an inexperienced team against many larger clubs.
Molly Greatbatch, Samuel Bird, Noah Conroy and Elliot Hall earned special praise for competing in their own age group and the age group above.
The team were expertly led by manager Danielle Reilly and coach Joe Collins while older swimmers Callum Davis, Millie Fields and Niamh James gave invaluable support.
BSSC squad: Noah Conroy, Alex Eustace, George Hall, Haydn Bird, Guy Spearman-Baines, Eddy Cheng, Zachary Haslett-Fossey, Benny Palmer, Elliot Hall, Robert Filionescu, Yana Patel, Ellyse Harvey, Millie Cass, Lois Fields, Molly Greatbatch, Elsie Lowe, Adeline Chan, Isabelle Earley, Zoe Opiyo, Meha Patel, Bobbie MacDonald-Williams and Samuel Bird.
