Ajax train at Bishop's Stortford after beating Tottenham in Champions League
Bishop’s Stortford played host to an Ajax recovery training session after the Dutch side’s midweek UEFA Champions League victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
Having beaten the Premier League side 1-0 in the first leg of their semi-final on Tuesday night, officials from the Eredivisie club rang up the Blues asking to borrow the ProKit UK Stadium for a light session on Wednesday morning.
And the team from Amsterdam took to the Stortford turf for 90 minutes as part of their preparations for this Sunday’s KNVB Cup final against Willem II.
After their workout, the players had lunch in the Mitre Suite with the club’s new bar managers, Whitt Events, preparing their meals.
And the Ajax squad then made the quick trip to Stansted Airport for the journey home.
