Kieran Amos named sole Takeley manager and Freddie Burrell to be assistant boss

Takeley have announced Kieran Amos will be their sole manager for their first season in the Pitching In Isthmian League, North Division.

He will be the main man in the dugout having been joint-boss alongside Alex Martin last term, when the club achieved a historic promotion to step four via the Essex Senior League, Premier Division play-offs.

Takeley announced Martin, who made over 400 appearances for the club during his playing career, had “stepped down for personal reasons” on May 23.

Amos will be helped by new assistant manager Freddie Burrell, who was part of the backroom staff last season and made over 180 appearances for the club.

“Delighted Freddie Burrell has agreed to take the role on,” said Amos on X.

“Infectious character and an incredible drive/determination to be successful. Played a vital role last season.”
