Good catches at Bishop's Stortford & District Angling Society waters as fishing resumes under new government guidelines
Some impressive specimens have been reeled in on Bishop's Stortford & District Angling Society waters following the sport's resumption.
Under the new government guidelines, people can fish on their own, with their household, or with one other person while adhering to social distancing rules and staying two metres apart at all times.
The Angling Trust already advises anglers to fish no closer than 15 metres and that matches and organised angling events are still not permissible.
Stortford's Malcolm Barker, Beggars Hall and Hall Farm large lakes are now open with fishing only allowed from pegs with even numbers.
The lakes will be visited by a bailiff on a regular basis to ensure anglers are adhering to the guidelines and club rules.
The new season's tickets are on sale via tackle shops or by phoning the secretary Robin Merritt on 07770 732895. Visit bsdas.org.uk for updates.
