In-form front man Daniel Alaezi upped his goal tally for the season to 20 in just nine appearances as Real Stortford under-17 Falcons beat Hoddesdon Town Black 3-0.

He claimed his third hat-trick in as many games to help the unbeaten side maintain second place in Mid-Herts Rural Minors League, Division Four.

Alaezi broke the deadlock before half time by beating two defenders and slotting home from a tight angle.

With the likes of Harry Wilson, Louie Day and Lucas Gribble keeping things tight at the back, Falcons doubled their lead after the restart when Alaezi lashed a bobbling ball into the net from inside the box.

The hosts wrapped up the points when Alaezi completed his treble 10 minutes from time having robbed a defender as the visitors attempted to play out from the back.

Any one of the Falcons' 13-man squad could have been named man of the match, with the award going to Billy MacLeod for being at the heart of a high-energy team performance.

Division Five leaders under-18 Saracens strengthened their position at the summit with a 2-0 win at nearest challengers Whitewebbs Eagles. Ewan Winship and captain Connor Woods were on the score sheet for the table-topping visitors.

A brace from Vincent Doyle helped under-16 Bulls register a 3-1 success away to Paringdon Leopards in Division Three. He notched with head and foot for the visitors, who took maximum points despite being without several key players.

Ashley Elgar also netted with a fine strike while Sam Rashford was unlucky to see a goal chalked off. Cameron Scott, who stood in at centre-back, was the Bulls' man of the match.
