Bishop’s Stortford Handball Club’s men’s first team remain firmly in promotion contention after winning their first two play-off matches.
Stortford, who finished top of England Handball Men’s Regional League South 2 East, triumphed 30-18 at Northampton before beating Bucks Mavericks 34-24 at home.
They are now preparing to host Chelsea II at the Herts and Essex Sports Centre, in Beldams Lane, in their final play-off contest at 2pm on Saturday May 17. Spectators are more than welcome. The top two out of the four sides will go up.
Stortford played at a quick pace against Northampton and controlled proceedings before player-of-the-match Alexander Lyons scored seven goals in the victory over the Mavericks.
