The first team suffered a 3-0 defeat at Cambridge City II in the Premier Division.

The visitors conceded twice on the break in an even first half and then struggled to find any flow after the restart.

Defender Molly Brooks made an outstanding save with her stick to keep out a penalty stroke after goalkeeper Ali Martyn had been green-carded, but their opponents did convert another penalty at the death to seal the points.

The second team suffered a 2-0 home defeat at the hands of their Old Loughtonians counterparts in 1S.

Stortford failed to convert several chances after dominating first-half possession.

And they conceded a deflected goal from a set-piece after receiving a green card early in the second period before letting in a second when an aerial ball into the D was swiped home.

Charlotte Turner got the only goal of the game as the fifth team overcame the fourth team 1-0 in their 3SW inter-club derby.

She found the net early on and defender Claire Holmes was player of the match as they claimed the bragging rights.

Some fine stops from debutante and player-of-the-match Linda Rowley helped to keep the score down as the sixth team lost 5-0 at Romford in 3SE.

The seventh team were unlucky to lose 4-3 in a 5SW thriller at Saffron Walden IV.

They equalised three times through Emily Wood and Emma Cox, who got a brace, but the hosts emerged victorious. Freya Rantall was player of the match.

There was better fortune for the eighth team against Saffron Walden V as Megan Laws’ two goals were added to by Eileen Adams, Vivienne Saunders and Vittoria Saunders in a 5-1 home win in 6SW.

Chloe Allmark and Emily Osborne-Worcester shared the player-of-the-match accolade.

The ninth team received a walkover against Welwyn Garden City IV in 7SW and, in the same division Issy Cullinan’s double and strikes from Kate Cullinan and Sophia Vasey earned the 10th (development) team a 4-1 success at Berkhamsted & Hemel Hempstead IV.
