Lizzie Bellinger completed the season with a string of wins in the prestigious Castle Triathlon Series.

The Castle Triathlon Series took place throughout the summer at major locations across the UK and France.

Having missed the first race due to illness, Bellinger went to Kent's Hever Castle in July for her first attempt at the longer race aquathlon, which comprised a 1,900m swim and 10.5km run.

Coming out of the water second, she caught her rival 1.5km into the run and increased her lead before crossing the line in 1hr 21min.

The next event, at Castle Howard near York, was back over the standard distance of a 1,500m swim and 10.5km run. This time Bellinger was in the lead from start to finish as she took the ribbon.

The final event was in France at Chateau de Chantilly and she took on the challenge of racing on both days, adding the sprint distance (750m swim and 5km run) to the standard event, securing victories on both days.

Bellinger also came fourth at the World Multisport Championships back in May and was an age-group winner in the Blenheim Palace Triathlon in what was a fantastic campaign.
